On a rainy Saturday morning in rural North Carolina, a small mobile unit pulled into a church parking lot. It was the Groundwater Solutions Mobile Health Lab—equipped not just with rapid COVID-19 testing tools, but with hope.
Before the van’s doors opened, a line had already begun to form. Families bundled under umbrellas. Elderly residents with walkers. A young mother balancing her toddler on one hip and her anxiety on the other. Some came for testing, others for answers—but all came because they had nowhere else to turn.
For many communities we serve, access to healthcare isn’t just inconvenient—it’s nonexistent. That’s why Groundwater Solutions, Inc. was founded: to bridge the gap between people and the care they deserve.
That day, over 80 residents were tested. Nearly 50 received behavioral health screenings. Dozens walked away with bags of food, updated voter registration, and referrals to housing assistance. One woman, tearfully, called it “the most help I’ve received in years.”
She wasn’t alone.
We don’t just show up with test kits—we show up with intention, cultural sensitivity, and partnerships rooted in faith and community trust. We collaborate with local churches, health departments, and volunteers because we believe the best way to serve a neighborhood is to be in it, with it, and for it.
As our mobile team rolled away that afternoon, a few residents lingered—chatting, laughing, holding fresh groceries. A new connection had been made. Not just with services, but with each other.
This is the Groundwater way.
